Smart Tabs NIRO System 12 x 9" with 36kg ( 80lb ) actuators The patented SMART TABS offer a unique trim and stabilization system that automatically adapts to the conditions without the need for an expensive electrical or hydraulic installation with control switch. SMART TABS have nitrogen-filled cylinders that push the trim tabs downward at low speeds and allow them to be pushed upward automatically (horizontally) at higher speeds. The trim tabs are permanently under pressure which means they actually work as a type of shock absorber and continuously assume the correct position depending on the conditions boat speed and position. This provides an exceptional improvement in a boat's handling characteristics.
