ECHOMAX Radar Reflectors
Inflatable, cylindrical radar reflector. Metallized fabric in a PVC sleeve; folds easily, making it the ideal addition to your onboard emergency equipment kit. Can be hoisted in the mast or secured with a 3-piece set (optional). @ + 3° - 25,6m² maximum response.

Dimensions: H = 750 mm, D = 300 mm.

Information
A radar reflector at sea is mandatory under SOLAS-V and must comply with the ISO 8729 standard:

The RCS (Radar Cross Section) response of the reflector must be at least 2,5m² all around over 240°.
There must be no angle greater than 10° without a response at an inclination of + 3°.
The maximum response must be at least 10m² at an inclination of +3°. (according to ORC and RORC).
The ECHOMAX 230 and 305 radar reflectors more than meet these requirements. The models have been successfully tested by the QinetiQ laboratory (DERA, Funtington: the English TÜV) and carry the SHIP WHEEL certification mark.
ECHOMAX radar reflectors are a major step forward in safety on the water!
ECHOMAX radar reflectors consist of a triple vertically stacked array of laser-cut aluminum plates in a sealed PE or GRP housing. The top and bottom are fitted with 8 or 10 mm mounting holes so that the reflector can be hoisted in the mast, mounted on the mast using stainless steel brackets or installed freestanding on a stainless steel base.
Inflatable ECHOMAX radar reflectors fold down to a practical pocket size: the ideal addition to an onboard emergency equipment kit or life raft.
ECHOMAX radar reflectors are suitable for (racing) sailing yachts and (high-speed) motorboats or inflatable boats. ECHOMAX radar reflectors are used, for example, for navigation buoys in England or by the English lifeboat organization and the American and Canadian navies. Even American nuclear submarines (US Navy SubPac Division, Hawaii) have been equipped with them!
With an ECHOMAX radar reflector, you are truly visible, even in bad weather!
